The 'basic' edition. Designed to be synchronous with the DVD production process

BD-J

Advanced to a significant degree. Using Sun Microsystems' Java programming language this will be the future of entertainment on Blu-ray. For now, however, caution is advised. This is an actively developing format.

Microsoft backed video format, similarities to AVC, very advanced
